Another easy start to a day... Woke up around 9am and putzed around. I updated my site, tked to my uncle for a while, checked my e-mail and just chilled in the valley. By the way, I love the valley. If you're a movie buff, this street is where Poltergeist and E.T. were filmed I even watched Harry Potter. This has nothing to do with anything, but this movie was better than I thought it was going to be. I fell asleep soon after it was done, but Christian called and woke me up. I went down to Hollywood and got there in about 1/2 hour. He lives right behind the Mann's Chinese Theatre. Which is cool but a nightmare at the same time. Every time there's an award show or a movie premiere it's almost impossible to even leave the area....anyway. We went off to one of his regular spots on Melrose. It was a nice outdoor kind of cafe. It was good hanging with Christian. I have no friends at home who have had any horrible breakups. It was nice to finally talk to someone who's had the same issues as me. (Hey Mike, welcome to the club). Christian hasn't changed at all in the past 6 years since he left NY. He just has more tattoo's. The strange thing about this lunch was within the 2 hours that I was there eating and hanging w/ Christian I got experience the L.A. vibe completely. The waitress was a dancer who used to dance for the 49ers and was constantly auditioning for shows. Her boyfriend is a drummer who is looking for a gig. The two girls that sat next to us, one was making her CD with Ice-T and the other ran a gym and was looking for someone to DJ parties at the gym. Every single girl that walked by was a 5'9 blonde that just looked perfect. And to cap it off, one of Christian's friends stopped by and joined us a lunch for a while. The celebrity of all freaks.....MTV's the real world's Puck. He's so well aware of who he is and what people expect of him. And he gets paid so well to do that...Anyway... Lunch was cool and then we headed off to his place to hang for a while. Great place and I especially liked the view of the Hollywood sign. I got to hear about funny shit happening in his life and his involvement in the lives of the rich and famous...Anyway, we hung for a while and then I took off to go meet my cousins in Westwood. This is when reality kicked in. For the past three weeks all my plans have been on my own. Now I'm relying on 2 girls to make plans. Well, they got there over a 1/2 hour late. Women!! We got motivated and headed back to Hollywood to check out some Cabaret place, which really wasn't a cabaret place. According to reliable sources, it was good place to by heroin back in the day... When we got there, very pleased to see my buddy Guynn already there....very nice...well, we all walked over to the place we were suppose to go to....First bad sign, there's a doorman...Second bad sign...well, it really wasn't a sign but more or less that doorman said no way. Private party. I wasn't really disappointed. Guynn suggested the local Mexican rest/bar which we all went to. Soon after Mike joined us. We hung out and had a pitcher of margaritas. For some reason we all decided to try the other bar again....No Shirts, No Shoes NO DICE....then the next bar we tried was closed... Guynn took off and savage, my cousins and a couple of other people headed off to a bar called Lola's....an interesting bar with martini's, hot blonde chicks, russian hookers and a pool table...Yeah, I liked this place...After a couple hours and a couple of bad pools games we all went our own separate ways (like the journey song). I drove back to the valley and just crashed!!! I'm so happy, my road trip starts up again....I've been dormant way to long!! C YA notes: Yo CJ!! An Ahmet a day keeps the Rose away Yo to Julie....
